Emergency Number Integration at X‑Guard

Fast and direct alerting without intermediaries

At X‑Guard, we believe in immediate and efficient assistance in emergency situations. With our mission “Everyone Everywhere Secure”, we offer the possibility to integrate an internal emergency number within your organisation. This solution enables employees to alert quickly, without intermediaries like a reception desk or control room. Thus, help is always on the way without delay.

What is an internal emergency number?

An internal emergency number is a specific (short‑dial) phone number within your organisation — for example 777 — through which an emergency call can be placed directly. This call is forwarded to an external number supplied and managed by X‑Guard. This number is linked to an automated system that handles the call.

How does the integration work?

  1. Submission of phone numbers
    You submit to X‑Guard a list of phone numbers of employees authorised to alert. This can be done via email or via the Alarm‑app.

  2. Connection to your PBX/telephone system
    In your own telephone switchboard you route the short‑dial emergency number (for example 777) to the external X‑Guard number. X‑Guard handles the rest.

  3. Secure verification
    When an employee calls the emergency number, our system checks whether the number is on the submitted list:

    • Verified? The call is accepted and forwarded.

    • Not verified? The call is terminated and not processed further.

  4. Handling of the emergency call
    After verification two options are possible:

    • The call is automatically forwarded to a recorded message confirming that help (e.g. the company emergency response team) is on the way.

    • The call is forwarded directly to the emergency response team (e.g. first‑aid responders) who receive the information about the emergency via the Alarm‑app.

What do you need to supply?

For correct setup we need from you:

  • A list of phone numbers of employees authorised to alert.

  • The short internal emergency number that you route in your switchboard to the number provided by us.

These details can be supplied in two ways:

  • By email to X‑Guard with the list of phone numbers and the chosen emergency number.

  • Via the Alarm‑app, in which employees register with their phone number.
