Replacing the battery in the X-Guard Bluetooth Alarm Button

How to easily and safely replace the CR2032 battery in your alarm button

The X-Guard Bluetooth Alarm Button uses a CR2032 coin cell battery. Under normal use, the battery lasts approximately three years. The actual battery life depends on how intensively the alarm button is used. With frequent use, the battery may need to be replaced sooner.

When the battery is running low, you will receive a notification in the X-Guard Alarm app. Make sure to replace the battery in good time. A properly functioning alarm button is essential for quickly triggering an alarm in an emergency. Keeping your alarm button well maintained therefore also contributes to our mission: Everyone. Everywhere. Protected.

Which battery do you need?

The X-Guard Bluetooth Alarm Button requires a CR2032 coin cell battery. You can replace the battery in the alarm button yourself.

Replacing the battery

Follow these steps to replace the battery:

  1. Remove the alarm button from its casing
Remove the back of the black casing and take the white alarm button out of the casing.
  2. Open the white alarm button
There is a round cover on the back of the white alarm button. Turn this cover approximately half a turn to the left to open the alarm button.
  3. Create additional grip if necessary
Opening the alarm button can sometimes be a little difficult. If necessary, temporarily remove the protective film from the back and attach the button to a suitable surface. This provides additional grip while opening it.
  4. Replace the battery
Remove the old battery and insert a new CR2032 coin cell battery.
  5. Close the alarm button
Replace the round cover and turn it approximately half a turn to the right to close the alarm button.
  6. Place the button back in its casing
Place the white alarm button back into the black casing. Pay close attention to the position of the LED. Above the X-Guard logo is an LED that can light up red, orange or green. Make sure the LED is positioned exactly at the opening in the casing so that it remains clearly visible.
