Adding Floor Plans in the X‑Guard Management Dashboard

Guide and steps to correctly upload and use floor plans

With the X‑Guard Management Dashboard, administrators can easily upload floor plans of buildings, floors, or outdoor areas. This functionality supports effective safety management and directly contributes to X‑Guard’s mission: Everyone, Everywhere Secured.

Why floor plans matter

A well-integrated floor plan enables:

  • Quick visual orientation during incidents.

  • Efficient deployment of emergency responders.

  • Optimal placement of panic and emergency buttons.

  • Precise integration of fire alarm components like manual call points and smoke detectors.

  • Zone creation with meaningful naming for reporting and navigation.

  • Room fingerprinting, supporting indoor positioning using beacons or sensors.

Preparing your floor plan

  1. Clean up the image – Remove unnecessary logos, borders, and text.

  2. Use one of the supported file formats:

    • PNG

    • JPEG

    • PDF

  3. Check scale and clarity – Details must remain visible when zoomed in.
