Managing Notifications in the X-Guard Alarm App (Android & iPhone)

The X-Guard Alarm app notifies users when someone within the same account activates an alarm or when an important status update occurs. Proper notification settings are essential to ensure timely response.

Setting up notifications on Android

Open Settings
Go to Notifications
Select App notifications
Search for Alarm or X-Guard Alarm
Select the app

Make sure:

Notifications are allowed
Sound, pop-up and lock screen visibility are enabled

Important:
Keep Notifications allowed enabled.
Ensure Urgent Alarms remains active.

Notification types on Android

Status bar: Icon at the top of the screen
Pop-up (banner): Immediate on-screen alert
Lock screen: Visible while phone is locked
Sound & vibration: Audible alert

For alarms, enable pop-ups, sound and lock screen display.

Android notification categories

Urgent Alarms

Main alarm alerts within the app.
Risk: Alarm calls may be missed.

Flic 2 Channel

Bluetooth panic button notifications (e.g. low battery).
Risk: The button may stop functioning unexpectedly.

Primary Voice Channel

High-priority or voice-related communications.
Risk: Important communication may not be received.

Basic notifications

General status updates and confirmations.

Location Channel

Indicates background location usage.
Risk: Location may not be shared properly during an alarm.

Miscellaneous

Other technical notifications.

System notifications after reinstall or restore.

Setting up notifications on iPhone (iOS)

Open Settings
Tap Notifications
Select X-Guard Alarm

Enable:

Allow Notifications
Lock Screen
Notification Center
Banners (preferably persistent)
Sounds
Badges

Focus mode / Do Not Disturb

Check via:
Settings → Focus

Ensure X-Guard Alarm is allowed.
