How does X-Guard work?

X-Guard was developed with one clear mission: Everyone, Everywhere, Protected. Whether you’re on the road, at work, or working alone – with the X-Guard app, you can rely on immediate assistance in any situation. But how does it actually work? Below we explain step by step how the alarm process within X-Guard works.

1. Activate the alarm
   In an emergency, you can easily trigger an alarm via the app. This can be done manually with a panic button or assistance button, or automatically via the man-down feature, which sends an alarm when no movement is detected.

2. Nearby responders are alerted
   As soon as an alarm is triggered, willing responders within a radius of 200 meters immediately receive a notification. These can be emergency response officers, people trained for aggression situations, certified “Heroes,” or members of the Helping Hand network. They can respond immediately without the intervention of an alarm center.

3. Alarm center involvement
   If no responders are available in the immediate area, the professional alarm center is automatically engaged. The operator listens in and assesses the severity of the situation. If necessary, escalation to the police or other emergency services takes place.

4. Phone verification
   If there is any doubt, the operator attempts to contact the user by phone. If there is no response, responders within a radius of 2000 meters are alerted to go to the scene and assist.

5. Professional follow-up
   If still no help is available, mobile security officers or keyholders are dispatched directly to the location to assess the situation and provide assistance if needed.
